Through the course, students will develop personal and project management skills, responding to briefs and presenting their work through a practical and skills-based approach. They will investigate and develop ideas through pre-production, production and post-production, manage creative projects and document progress.
Throughout the course, students will use high spec equipment and industry-standard software such as Adobe.
There are three components to the qualification:
- Exploring Media Products (30%) - internal assessment with 2 tasks over 10 hours of supervised sessions
- Developing Digital Media Production Skills (30%) - internal assessment with 2 tasks over 10 hours of supervised sessions
- Creating a Media Product in Response to a Brief (40%) over 10 hours of supervised sessions.
