The Swanage School Way
Our students learn resilience – the understanding that to succeed we must try things, learn from any failure or mistakes, and persevere.
This key skill sets our students on course for a life full of ambition, confidence and success. It is summed up in our motto, ‘Omnia vinces perseverando’, which means ‘Perseverance overcomes all things’.
At The Swanage School we refer to “The Swanage School Way” – it's how we do things at our school and what we stand for. It was first determined when the school opened in 2013. Whilst not every student will be able to recite The Swanage School Way word perfectly, everyone knows and follows its meaning:
At The Swanage School we...
- Respect each other and treat others as we would like to be treated
- Help members of the wider community
- Strive for academic excellence
- Take pride in our appearance
- Do the best we can
We try, we fail, we learn, we succeed
